A Four Seasons Soiree

The owners of Loira Vines first saw their vineyard as visitors. Holidaying in Tasmania a few years back, they called in for a wine tasting, and liked what they saw so much, they bought the business!
That’s how former school teacher and publican Mirabai and Adrian Carruthers came to move from regional New South Wales to their own little slice of heaven in the Tamar.
They’ve put their mark on the place, rebuilding the cellar door, and garnering a reputation for generous platters served on the weekend.
This year they will host an exclusive dinner on Friday 20thand Saturday 21st November.
The Four Seasons Soiree will carefully match wines, dining and music, with local quartet Bits of String playing all four pieces from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons – between courses.
Guest chef Rob Boden, who built his reputation in Sydney restaurants and now prefers a quiet life here in the West Tamar, has helped to create a menu to match the musical seasons. Think Slow Egg, Truffle and Apple with Nitro Foraged Herbs; Cider Poached Salmon with Wasabi Creme and Asparagus; Beef Rib on Bone with Dark Fruits, Truffle Bearnaise and Celeriac Gratin, and Baked Egg Custard with Honey Poached Pears, Vanilla Crumb and Hazelnuts.
Tickets are limited and include wines, with beer and cider served for those who prefer.
Join us for what promises to be an exquisite an unforgettable evening!
